Support in Preparing Public Speeches and Presentations
This page outlines the corporate speaker support program available to employees of your company. Through this program, you can receive guidance on preparing public presentations for internal events, professional conferences, and other forms of public communication.
This support may include assistance with presentation structure, slide preparation, rehearsals, feedback, adapting complex topics for a broad audience, and more.
About the Consultant
My name is Venera Shakirova.
I am a consultant specializing in public speaking and presentations. For nearly 15 years, I have worked with professionals who need to explain complex ideas in clear and accessible language. These clients often include IT specialists, engineers, educators and instructional designers, scientists, physicians, managers, and journalists.
I work with both individual speakers and corporate teams, particularly within the technology and education sectors. For the past several years, I have been working bilingually — in Russian and English.
My professional approach is shaped by the intersection of social psychology, facilitation, teaching, communications, visual storytelling, and presentation design.
How the Program Works
Consultation Hour Limit
In accordance with our agreement with your company, 180 minutes of consultation time are allocated for each speaking engagement. A "case" is defined as a distinct speech, presentation, report, internal meetup, conference, or other public speaking format for which you are preparing. The time limit is calculated separately for each new engagement.
How can these 180 minutes be utilized? The scope of work may include online meetings, reviewing video recordings of your rehearsals and actual performances, providing written feedback, working on presentation slides, asynchronous correspondence, and answering questions. If you submit materials in advance—such as presentations, scripts, notes, or video recordings—the time required to review these materials and prepare feedback is also counted toward the total time limit.
Working on Slides
The scope of these consultations extends beyond visual design to encompass the logic of the presentation itself—specifically, what content to display on the slides, how to structure the flow, and how to ensure the material is both clear and effectively supports the speaker's delivery.
If necessary, I can provide examples of revised individual slides or prepare a working draft of the presentation to visually demonstrate potential improvements and illustrate the underlying principles of the process.
It is important to note that this program does not entail full-scale, "turnkey" presentation development. Typically, the objective of the consultation is to help establish a clear direction for the work and provide actionable guidelines, after which the speaker proceeds to finalize the materials independently.
English
Anna Popova
If a presentation is being prepared in English, my colleague Anna, an English teacher and translator, can join the project as needed.
Anna assists speakers with phrasing and vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, British and American accents, intonation, vocal expressiveness, and adapting their speech for an English-speaking audience.
Anna’s involvement is also included within the total allotted consultation hours.
Currently, the program is available to company employees classified as full-time staff.
The current arrangement does not extend to global contractors, freelancers, interns, partners, employees of third-party organizations, or specialists providing services to the company on a non-staff basis.
If you are unsure whether your status meets the program's eligibility criteria, we recommend consulting your L&D team for clarification.
